Dilie: Thousands of brothers and sisters in Kilasan rallied in Dilli’s capital, demanding a complete loan waiver and minimum support price, police blocked Parliament a few meters away. The police stopped by Jantar Mantar saying they were not permitted to go to Parliament. Dilli Police Commissioner Madhur Verma said that the rally was allowed only to Jantar Mantar. Nearly 35,000 farmers from different parts of the country have stopped near Parliament Street Police Station. The farmer’s community leaders talked with protesting farmers. AICCC national secretary Ashish Mittal said the farmers from 24 states have been asked to make a loan waiver and to address the various demands of farmers. Farmers are demanding special Parliament Meetings to deal with farmers’ problems. The rally is being held under the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AICCC).
Thousands of farmers from various places reached Ramlila Maidan in Dili yesterday. Night stayed there and rallied to Parliament Street in the morning. Heavy security arrangements have been made by participating in the massive rally rally. Nearly 3,500 police officers are being deployed on rally and are monitoring the issue of peace and security.
